Folklore: Native Americans have used pink and green Tourmaline as funeral gifts for centuries. An old Egyptian legend, is that the Tourmaline, on its long journey up from the center of the Earth, passed over a rainbow. In doing so, it assumed all the colors of the rainbow.

Kunzite is a stone that has been around for millions of years, yet was only 'discovered' less than a hundred years ago by a gemstone specialist named George Kunz, when pale pink Kunzite was found in San Diego County.
